June 24, 2010

Another ridiculously hot day in NJ.  It is 10am and already up to 85 degrees.

For those who follow the World Cup you already know that the US beat Algeria yesterday, 1-0 in like the 91st minute or something.   I didn't actually see the game since I was at work but I was able to follow the scores on my computer, and every time the show the replay I happen to not be in the room.  Their next game is Saturday against Ghana, who hopefully they can beat.  Happily it is not against Germany, that would have been a disaster.
Anyhow, I will be rooting for the USA, though I will more than likely not be watching the game, since I will be helping my brother-in-law move into his new house.  Who by the way have their closing today.

By the way Congratulations to Dave and Cheryl on their new home.  Get your signing hands ready, since that is what you will doing for about 3 hours today.  Though you probably already knew that.
I am looking forward to seeing the new house.

On the Grant Ave Gregov home front, we are making some improvements to our house.  First we updated the bathroom, to make it look more modern and next we are investigating what it will take to tear up the carpet in our living room and staircase and make it hardwood floors or possibly a darker carpet, as white does not go well with 2 cats and a baby.  Down the road I am looking at doing some work outside, maybe first will be the pavers that make up the walkway bordering our house.  I want to have them redone, maybe using the same stones, I am not really sure yet.
