December 9, 2008

So today on the news I hear that about 10,000 in Monmouth County NJ are without power. All because of a blown transformer. Are they serious? This is the 21st century isn't it? Why are we still blowing out transformers? I mean come on, we can put people into space and leave them there for months at a time. We can send probes to Mars, and even find ways to explore the oceans, but we still have not figured out how to make it so we NEVER lose power. If I was in charge, we would be using nuclear, wind, solar, goethermal, and fart power, if it was feasible to harness. But alas I am not in charge so we are stuck with 50 year old equipment that leaves thousands powerless. Nice going JCP&L, good job. But what can we expect we live in NJ.

<----Buca

As I am writing this I am sitting here with Buca (one of our cats), who earlier today was playing with the paper wrapping that comes in boxes. In a way I envy him, and his simpleness. All he does is eat, sleep, shit and play. If only I could figure out how to get paid for doing that, I gladly would.

Well that is all, and I will talk to you tomorrow.
